StepUp! 2014

Nigeria is facing various challenges and is also undergoing a series of adjustments. Some of these challenges include liquidity shortages, corruption, erosion of moral values and the underperformance of the economy. These challenges have culminated in social contract and declining social trust. Most of our nation’s great problems, including our economic problems, have as their root decaying moral values. Whether we have the stomach to own up to it or not, we have become an immoral people left with little more than the pretence of morality.

It is easy to accuse television, superstars, separated or lone parents and employed mothers. But the things that subjugate youth negatively are rarely that modest. Statistically, the approach of placing liability at convenient objects usually only makes the problem shoddier. Whether adults want to accept it or not, teens like “their” celebrities, “their” TV programs, music and movies, and “their” culture. However, We believe change is possible if we collectively take responsibility today to build our future; grooming the next generation. They, will be our doctors, lawyers, accountants, governors, drivers etc; the cradle for development of a possible future, hence StepUp!

StepUp! (A Teen on Fire Campaign) is designed to orient, equip and empower teens with information and viable skills, helping them build a desired future, find relevance in the society and live responsibly to deliver desired tangible results. It is time for Nigerians to take a good look in the mirror and decide whether or not their desire is that this country be guided by the degenerates of society or by the values desired by the majority of that society.

We see a future of creative and productive professionals driven by the right values, hence our invitation to Stepup!

Stepup! aims to:
● Inspire teenagers to live a value driven lifestyle

Teejay has inspired me and my team personally and collectively, and in no wise are we amazed at how he is setting teens on fire across Nigeria. Fellow Nigerians and change makers, Teejay is leading the trend, lets follow suit, quit the talking and work the walk.
